About me
Hi, I’m Laura Scholz, an award-winning, Atlanta-based writer, editor, and content strategist who shapes editorial direction for industry-leading tech and lifestyle brands. For more than a decade, I’ve brought a journalist’s curiosity and a marketer’s precision to every project, leading the execution of editorial features, marketing copy, and strategic multimedia campaigns for clients ranging from global brands like Square, Intuit, and Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts to major media outlets like Eater, Runner’s World, and Travel + Leisure.
With deep editorial roots at publications like Atlanta magazine and Modern Luxury Atlanta and in-house brand experience, I bridge the worlds of journalism and marketing—translating cultural insight and storytelling savvy into effective, audience-driven content strategies. Most recently, as OpenTable’s U.S. blog editor, I managed large-scale editorial execution, SEO, and LLM initiatives, producing 50+ monthly city guides and writing high-visibility copy for the consumer blog and marketing initiatives, including the OpenTable Icons campaign.
In addition to fractional content marketing, high-impact copywriting, and C-suite ghostwriting, I regularly contribute to leading publications, including the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Rough Draft Atlanta, RUNHER, Outside Run, and Well+Good.
A certified classical Pilates instructor and competitive runner with the Atlanta Track Club Masters Team, I live in Atlanta’s Blandtown neighborhood with my husband and two dogs, Margot and Rosalind. When I’m not writing, you’ll find me exploring a new city, hiking a local (or not-so-local) trail, working at one of my favorite coffee shops, sitting down to play some Chopin at the piano, curating the perfect playlist for any occasion, or coaching Girls on the Run.
